If, like me, you are a fan of old time radio programs then I can help you out. Head on over to the Internet Archive and download to your hearts content.
I found it by accident while I was Googling for some stuff on some old British radio comedy programs and was stunned by how much stuff they had available. The reason most of it is 'old time' is because it is out of copyright and so they can make it free for you to grab a copy of it.
So if your tight, er, prudent with your money it is a fantastic place to bookmark and keep heading back to. They seem to have a load of everything, not just old time radio programs but some old TV shows and movies as well. It will obviously help if you have a broadband Internet connection as some of the files are quite large, especially for movies. But, having said that, if you are just downloading a single thirty minute comedy show from the radio as an MP3 file it may only be about 7MB.

The facts, Ma'm. Just the facts . Jack Webb from the old time radio program Dragnet. I love most of these old atmospheric shows. When you listen to some of them it is almost impossible to believe they are fifty years and in some case over sixty years old.
It really is one of the best sites I have ever found in my digital rambles.
You like old time radio (otr) comedy try stuff like Bob Hope, or the wonderful Phil Harris and Alice Faye Show. Phil Harris was know best in his later years for voicing Baloo the bear in the Walt Disney version of The Jungle Book.
Or the king of the ad lib Groucho Marx and the rest of the brothers and stuff like the old Flywheel, Shyster and Flywheel comedy show where Groucho plays a lawyer.

Quatermass
Quatermass was an old science fiction series from British TV in the 1950s. It became a big hit and so they made some movie versions of it staring Brian Donlevy as Prof. Quatermass. Personally I prefer the TV shows.
But I have digressed from old time radio programs to old time TV programs.
You want the original 1938 version of Orson Welles, War of the Worlds? It's yours - go download it, all 27MB and be stunned at how good the writing was in 1938. And then wonder why people talk about modern entertainment being dumbed down. I can see how it had New York in a panic back in 1938 when people actually started fleeing the city thinking a real invasion was taking place.

Don't say I never do anything for you. It is breaking the heart of an old tight-fisted miserable swine like me to give things away like this. I just can't think of a way to charge you for them.
Most of the old time radio programs are available in a variety of audio formats from the common MP3 file type to ogg vorbis for the Linux fans.
Video formats vary as well but they should all be playable on pretty much any computer as they are pretty standard formats like mpeg and AVI.
